What's Happening in 2025 with me???

Happy 2025!  It’s going to be a great year; I was very excited for this day to come and that means only 1 more day of work at my corporate job.  Yep, I’m going to do this full time and what a perfect time to roll up my sleeves and get to work planning for the new year.  I’ve never been a goal person; I ignored them for myself but cheered on others as they met theirs.  This year I buckled down and brain dumped a few goals I have for 2025.  They tell me that sharing those goals will help you to be accountable…. What?  Now they tell me that rule.

I was just going to hide them, only shared between me and the piece of paper.  So, to finish this task I will let you in on five of my goals that I think you will like also.

  1. Create weekly YouTube videos

This one is going to be hard for me, but I’m up for the challenge since I know how much everyone enjoys them, and I know how important they are for sharing and teaching.  I can’t wait to pour my heart into this task and not have the other job responsibilities hanging over my head taking all my time away from something I love.

  1. Blog once a week

I used to have a daily blog so this shouldn’t be that hard.  Back when photography was my life and anytime you'd see me I had a camera in my hand.  Not a cell phone camera a big girl SLR camera with large zoom lens.  I challenged myself to a Photo Of The Day (POTD) and blogged about that photo.  I did this for 2 or 3 years, everyday.

  1. Create my Connie Lines & Designs Rice Papers before the season is here.

With working full time it was tough finding the time to create paintings, when I sit down to create I like to go from start to finished.  Having the short time after work and weekends was tough finding the time to create the rice papers but now I will be able to dedicate time to create and enjoy the process of creating papers for the next season.  If you didn't know I have retailers in many states, ask your local shop if they carry Connie Lines & Designs Rice Papers

  1. Start an on-line painting group

I love to create new and fun designs for the season or holidays that are painted on scrap wood blocks.  These paintings sell very well in my booth space at The Gift Shop on Medford's Main Street.  I can teach you how to paint these items to make gifts or to sell in your own store/booth.  Watch for a sign up soon!

  1. Create a fabric design series

I have 4 sisters, 3 of them are quilters and 1 makes amazing items with yarn.  I've been challenged by my sister Gayle to create fabric using my painted designs.  The challenge with fabric, besides I have no idea how to make a reoccurring pattern with my paintings.... is you need to have multiple designs that can coordinate with each other for quilters.  I put this on my list but it might take me a few months to learn how and come up with 10-12 designs.  Wish me luck.

My passion is creating but I also enjoy teaching others to find the same passion in themselves.  Together we got this…. 2025 is going to be a year of growth!  That’s it...... my 2025 word is GROWTH, who’s with me?

Congratulations on your retirement. I hope you get to reach all your goals but if you dont its not brain surgery where someone’s life is in your hands. Dont sweat the small stuff because you are now the boss of you. Are you in Medford NJ? I am in PA and have been to Medford a few times and found it to be a very charming place to visit. PS Throw away your alarm clock!
